homeless encampment in the city of san jose. kron4 shows you where and why hundreds of illegal campers were getting the boot. >> the exact date has not been announced, but the latest word from san jose city hall is that sometime during the first week of march, the homeless people you see camped out here near the airport, directly beneath the flight path, will be asked to leave. they will be evicted and camp side here will be cleaned up. that means the 100 or so homeless people in some 70 tents and other makeshift shelters here will have to go. the coming action spurred by pressure from neighbors fed up with rising crime, trash, and unsanitary conditions fueled by fears the unprecedented grove of the camp may be the result of homeless people moving here from outside the region. >> cleanups are just part of an overall strategy to address a much larger problem, which is the homelessness that our community is facing. we'll move people, but we are hoping we can use that as a way to positively reenforce the access and services. >> spread across several acres of city-owned land, just south of ma
in san francisco. but next season will be the teams last at the stick. the city has announced plans to demolish the stadium after the team moves south to its new home in santa clara. kron 4's charles clifford has more >> reporter: candlestick parks sits about 5 and a half miles south of downtown san francisco. the stadium was built in the late fifties as a home for the san francisco giants, the 49ers started using it in 1971. the giants moved out in 2000 and the next nfl season will be candlesticks last. for more than fifty years candlestick park has been home to sports, concerts, and more than a few memorable moments, among the highlights was the 1989 loma prieta earthquake, which shook the stadium on live television during the world series. there was also this pass from joe montana to dwight clark, which was immortalized as the catch that sent the 49ers to superbowl 16. candlestick park is currently run by the san francisco recreation and parks department, but after the 49ers play there last game here next season, developer lennar urban will take over. lennar is the same company t

indonesia. >> palo alto police are investigating an attempted child kidnapping. in one of that city's quiet neighborhoods. kron four's jeff bush shows you where it happened and who police are looking for palo alto police say it happened about this time of day. it was about 5:30 monday afternoon. an 11 year old girl was riding her bike along emerson streetsouthbound. that's when she says this man was yelling obceneties at her as she approached. that scared her but what scared here even more is when he ran out into the street and tried to grab her. she peddled harder and got away and made it home where she told her parents what had happened to her. take a look at this sketch obtained by kron four. you can see there is a high degree of detail in the sketch. the suspect is described as a white male in his 30's, about 140 to 160 pounds with balding, light color hair and round glasses. palo alto police say they are on the lookout for this man. our kids are our most valuable resource and law enforcement takes things very seriously any time a child is involved, especially and 11 year old girl. many
